I let the boy go trick or treating with sis and neighbors, somehow against my better judgement. He coughed for most the way, in spite of the two xopenex puffs. Came home earlier than the rest of the crowd, gave him warm drinks, made him stay in a warm bathroom and gave him his second dose of 10 ml. Looking better now. Sleeping.
He used to sweat a lot during such episodes, he still does - I change him two-three times a night so he does not sleep with wet pajama tops.
These days we also do xopenex once during the night, once early morning , then at least once during the day, probably more than that. For some reason afternoons are worse than morning.
Summary of treatment: start on 30 October, 20 ml daily for 5 days, 10 ml daily for 3 days, 5 ml daily for 3 days (15mg/ml).
(after three days of 10 ml/day did not help much, and was afraid the fourth day of treatment would not do the trick).
Low appetite.

Most difficult week in years
Started on monday or tuesday with low grade fever, we responded with flovent, two puffs , twice a day. Called the doc to see if it is time for systemic corticosteroids on wed. Went to urgent care on friday and the nurses were great, essentially letting us in instantly. Seen by a young NP, had to ask for brething tretwment. Went home with 13 mg a day dose of prelone. Some hours are good, some are stll intense. Xopenex ams needed, sometime a,ftwr 2 hours. Hurricane expected on monday, windy, and full of beautiful but leaves. Would rather rake...
